This website represents a link between progress in architectural conception and realization, and the student mind. We are a small team put together because of the simple will to create in the next generation of design. Under the direction of Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas Lynn Fitzpatrick and vice president of building and plant solutions for Bentley Systems Inc. Brad Workman, we have worked on an analytical series of investigations in tandem with a creation series of our own, to shine some light on computational design.
What is computational design? It is the synchronization of the human mind with the speed and precision of the computer. By using advanced computer programs and methods the human mind can expand well beyond its traditional borders to realize design decisions previously thought to be unattainable.
